This October, for the half term we packed our bags and headed to Brighton. After weeks of school runs, I and the kids were in for a much needed break! Yes, it was just for 4 days but it was worth it!
We visited the seaside, walked The Lanes, visited art galleries, had fun watching animals at Seaworld Brighton and went on rides at the Brighton Palace Pier! Here are some pictures from our trip!
First day in Brighton after checking into our hotel, we headed to the Beach for some Fish and Chips!
The next day it was Seaworld and the Kids had an amazing time looking at the animals! The anaconda was the most fascinating for them, they kept going back to see if it would wake up!
And then the boat ride, where they had a view of different fishes especially the Sharks!
(Different Pictures of animals)
And a video of the big turtle! What a magnificent animal!
Walking "The Lanes" I found The Lanes with its fabulous maze of twisting alleyways very fascinating! It is certainly a shopper’s paradise with independent shops, resaurants, cafes, art galleries and boutiques and we had tea and cakes in a quaint tea shop 'Sugardough"
Another day we headed to the beach side where we had a sit down, had ice cream and just played around with the stones! Very relaxing!
Then it was dinner at Fogo De Chao. I have to say, the food is amazing! And the kids enjoyed it especially the different kinds of meat that was served! It took some convincing to get them to set the tab to red to indicate that we'd had enough meat or the meat would have kept coming out on skewers!
We also visited the Brighton Palace Pier. I must admit I was a bit afraid walking across the wooden bridge, never been a fan of water! My kids however, loved the fact that they got to walk on a bridge and had an amazing time running before me!
And then it was dinner at Bella Italia, their favourite place to eat in! Pasta and Calamari every time! Our favourite!
I loved the fact that we could just walk around and take pictures!
It wasn't all sunshine though, we had a day when we just stayed indoors all day because of the rain but we felt really lucky and grateful to get to spend this time as a family in such a beautiful town. How did you spend half-term? Are you glad to be heading into the winter?
Drop your thoughts on your favourite half-term holiday destinations :)
Warm Wishes,
Omo
